DESCRIPTION:The Humphrey Institute's Center for the Study of Politics and Governance will host "Toward More Open Government: A Conference on Reforming the Redistricting Process" on Monday, December 1, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Humphrey Institute. Speaker Margaret Anderson-Kelliher and Senate Majority Leader Larry Pogemiller will join Republican House and Senate leadership to discuss reform of Minnesota's approach to drawing legislative districts. National and regional experts will join with Minnesota's leader to discuss redistricting in other states and the risk of Minnesota losing a congressional seat after the next U.S. Census.
